Lout Lapidaire - Managing director
Lout Lapidaire, the Managing Director, has been responsible for Fortis Escrow since 2002. He was responsible for the market development and successful introduction of escrow in Western Europe. Lout previously worked for Fortis Commercial Finance as business development manager, and has vast commercial experience in providing tailormade working capital solutions for medium-sized enterprises operating in different European countries. Lout is a Cambridge business studies graduate and worked as marketing consultant for multinational companies and government agencies after his graduation.

Evelien Brand - Operations director
After finishing her Master’s degree in Economics and Law at the University of Utrecht, Evelien started her career at the University of Sydney and followed this with intensive training at the international law firm CMS Derks Star and Busman, Rabobank and ABN AMRO. Evelien joined Fortis in 2004 as management trainee. Before becoming the operations director of Fortis Escrow in April 2006, Evelien was jointly responsible for the development and marketing of simulation tools and was project manager for structuring information and communication flows. At Fortis Escrow, Evelien is responsible for operations, risk, client acceptance, money markets, the design of operational structures and marketing.

Alexa Visser - Customer support and operations
Alexa studied Commercial Economics in Curacao and in 1999 left the Island to work in the Netherlands. Alexa started working for Fortis in the beginning of 2000, specialising in international accounts and payments. Two years later, Alexa joined Fortis Escrow to support the team with operation and customer services. Alexa is in charge of all escrow accounts and payments, international banking contacts and the support for client enquiries.

Caspar Huith - Commercial Legal Counsel
Caspar has obtained his degree in law at the University of Rotterdam. Thereafter he has been active as a lawyer for a number of years. He has obtained extensive experience in both corporate- and employment law at a specialised boutique firm in Rotterdam. Caspar joined the team of Fortis Escrow in 2006. Caspar is responsible for the international development of Fortis Escrow in the field of (construction-) project related escrow arrangements.
